‘Has a heart of gold. You cannot help rooting for Jessie and Lana – and you cannot help loving No Love Songs as a result.’ – The Stage
In a powerful and uplifting tale of modern romance, NO LOVE SONGS packs an emotional punch in its heartfelt songs and storytelling. This exhilarating new musical brings alive the joys and struggles of aspiring couple Jessie and Lana as they navigate the challenges of their new lives as parents.
Funny and hard-hitting, NO LOVE SONGS is inspired by the real-life experiences of Kyle Falconer [The View] and his partner Laura Wilde. Rock songs taken from Falconer’s second solo album, No Love Songs for Laura, are re-imagined with stunning theatricality.
Jessie and Lana are both madly in love with laughter and passion filling their lives – until songwriter/performer Jessie gets his big break in America, leaving Lana isolated with their child. The audience is drawn into their ups and downs, in an emotional roller-coaster. Will the sparks that were there yesterday return and get them through tomorrow?
No Love Songs was originally part of the Made in Scotland Showcase 2023, revived for a UK 2024.
